Gunsmithing Do new "custom" barrels have to be crowned by the gunsmith?

Newbie question: Does the gunsmith installing a custom barrel have to crown it, or is that done by the barrel maker?

EDIT: Assuming the barrel isn't being shortened, threaded, etc..

they should be quoting you to install the barrel. thats chamber/headspace and crown the muzzle. threading the muzzle and fitting a brake or thread protector is extra cost.

A lot of gunsmiths list on their websites one price for barrel chambering, and another (additional) cost for barrel crowning. If I'm reading correctly, the crowning cost isn't included in the chambering cost. (In other words, add the two costs together to get the cost to install the barrel.)
