One of the guys at work put two craigslist ads up on april fools day a few years ago and put one of our buddies contact info in the ad
One was for a small pet bunny and the other was for a english bulldog puppy. Free to good home
both ads were something like the “wife got this puppy for the kids and then took the kids and filed for divorce. I dont need the dog/bunny any more.” He even went online and found pictures of a puppy and bunny and posted in the ad. His damn phone started ringing Every five minutes with someone wanting the dog or the rabbit.
best part about it was he was blaming his brother for doing it to him.
we laughed like hell for most of the day at his ass answering the phone and explainjng it all away. And anytime you can prank a friend and have him blame someone else makes it all the more better

In the days of old- call it 2001.... when if someone walked away from their PC you could go into outlook settings and update Auto Correct with a custom setting......... and change a name to auto correct-

I put an ad on Craigslist in new york city looking for a wookie impersonation for a film I was "making" but I listed my friends phone number. In the instructions I wrote if I answer just make the noise and hang up, Ill call you back if it's good enough. If you get my voicemail follow the same procedure.
We used to do this all the time in college for craigslist hookups using our friend’s numbers. Lots of dick picks to the phone.
most recently my friend subscribed another friend to a bunch of Democrats’ email chains for elections and his phone/email have been getting blown up.

The setup was different though.
We had these stupid horns that became mandatory on the emergency showers that were chain activated and had to be turned off.
We hooked it up to his desk drawer where we put the overnight stats.
Once the drawer was opened, he had to crawl under his desk to shut that bitch off.
Back when it was easy to pop someones hood, it was fun to jump a wire from headlights to horn.

We put the boss' new truck on Craigslist for about 15,000 off cheapest new truck on the market, his phone never stopped ringing--- only the listing person can remove from Craigslist. Just crazy watching and listening to him and the phone.
A guy at work messed with my toolbox one day (which is the number 1 on the list of what we dont mess with) so I made a craigslist ad for a free herd of fainting goats. Funniest part was that he was off that day and while on his way to the lake he had 2 trailer tires blow out, then while sitting on the side of the road with 1 spare that was flat his phone wouldnt stop ringing off the hook with all sorts of people wanting the free goats.
So I went on vacation for a week in 2016, came home and my buddies put a damn Hillary 2016 sign in my yard. Stayed there all week.... bastards. That’s ok tho. He got to drive around with some gay, coexist, and Bernie Sanders stickers for a couple days before he realized it.
