i Know its not tactical but I'm looking at a lot of load developement and chronographing from a bench any thoughts one way or the other? thanks for your input.

I had one and they work fine. They are made of pot metal, have some weight to them and come with rubber and spike feet. They are compact, but the size was too much for a range bag full of stuff. If you shoot outdoors, then fine as you just store it in your vehicle. They go on sale at Midway every so often for $27 or so.
