I had an idea, and it doesn't seem to be working all that well. My thought was that by getting some 55 gr Dogtown bullets, I'd have a higher quality bullet that would still be usable when running a bunch of 55 gr FMJs on the Dillon. These were not expected to be really great target or Varmint loads.

My idea was that the Dogtown hollow points would give me an edge at longer shots in 3-gun matches, but still be able to be mass produced with the FMJs. Unfortunately, my results are underwhelming with 748. Has anyone used these bullets, any suggestions for a propellant charge that will be OK with the FMJs and reasonably accurate out to about 400 yds with the Dogtowns?

Re: Dogtown 55 gr bullets

Sorry, I am assuming a lot, For general plinking, I load on a 650 and pump out using 55s with
a good crimp at the canilure. I cant simply grab at random the 55 dogtown with out resetting
my crimp. BUT, I am quite pleased with 24.5 grains of 748 using LC brass and the 55 Dogtown.
