I watched a documentary about her (which was done way too early if you ask me, she wasn't done entertaining the masses yet). Blonde hair, blue eyes, runs NAACP in Spokane...
And she also did more for the black community in Spokane than any other person in her position; IIRC she started a bunch of shit on her own. And they all liked her. A LOT. Until they found out she was white. Now they even target her son. Who is half black!
If they'd judged her by her accomplishments though, she'd still be running NAACP.
Racism is just so fucking stupid regardless of which side you take.

Right on... but the issue was not so much racism as it was fraud... and though she seems to have high order mental illness, she seemed coherent enough to lie on applications for jobs, get some kind of position in a university, get an art exhibit for her African Art, rise through the ranks of an advocacy organization by lying about who she was. And in the process, defrauding taxpayers and possibly keeping deserving people from getting the resources she, herself took.
She is not being attacked because she is white... but because she is a scum-weasel! She'es getting attacked for hypocrisy and downright fraud. And was from the moment she started being a fake, and using her fakery to benefit herself financially and socially and probably even mentally.
Put in different terms... would it be ok for someone who is a huge champion of veterans rights and a big supporter of the VFW... to put on a uniform, lots of medals and claim they were a SEAL.... Sure, their advocacy and financial support may do a lot for real veterans? But is it ok for them to 'identify' as a veteran... even if they care about veterans?
What is 'not' ok is for the NAACP to say "you can't help us if you're not black." Untrue... In fact, historically, the NAACP was founded, in part, by very wealthy and socially-connected white activists. Who saw the rise of Jim Crow as a continuation of antebellum slavery... and wanted people of color achieve their full potential. And they did it at a time when such things were... pretty taboo! Even teaching African-Americans to read was still a criminal offense in some parts of the country. But the NAACP seems to have forgotten the tradition that anyone can (and should) help anyone that they want to help. Turning away that help because of someone's color or ethnicity or religion... is just as racist and xenophobic as putting on the pointy bedsheets and dancing in circles in the cornfields. NAACP should welcome all the support it can get.
Which is why this whole thing is just so deliciously ironic... It's the Social Justice Warrior programming of the last decades hitting a bug and going into infinite loop, blue screen melt-down... because it doesn't know what to do with a situation in which two competing options don't compute... so the answer is to simply blow up! I love it! And instead of sitting back rationally and looking (once again) at the root of the problem -- mental illness -- the moonbats are screeching full volume! It's TV worth watching!

Yeah, you're right, I guess I forgot how complicated she was... I'm just disgusted by the whole race thing, period. I get that sweeping it under the rug isn't right but continuing to discuss it only keeps it on life support. I think they mentioned the creation of NAACP in that documentary, come to think of it.

An article I read a few months after her fall from grace, stated that she became "black" after being denied scholarships and entry into college programs. While watching black people getting in and getting

So to me she saw affirmative action at work and decided to join the "winning" team.

I still think that her possibly misguided attempt at things is an important step in destroying the communists favorite race war tactic.
The communist SJW type have firmly established in their minds that you can pick any idea of gender and as long as it exists in your mind it's heresy if nobody believes you wholeheartedly from moment to moment..... Nice ploy to use if you need to lock a SJW type into an inescapable logic loop.
Now if we can get them to somehow agree that race is also "fluid".... then we can start ruining their other favorite rallying cry....
Also one important legal point... can someone actually point out the exact federal definition of "black" or "African American" and exactly what racial makeup you need to be to be legally "black" or "African American" and exactly how much genetic percentage of that "blackness" or "Africanness" you need to have to be able to claim to be "black" or "African American"... ? Is it if you were born in Africa? Is it what tribe in Africa you were from? Is it which geographic area in Africa you were born in? Is it a specific skin tone? you'll find people in "Africa" ranging from jet black to light tanned skin with roots thousands of years old... Then is somehow a Samoan American excluded from the African American community because right color, wrong geography? What about very light from Africa? is it Right continent, wrong color?
Since the communists and SJW type are also huge on "mixed marriages"... well.... Can't the kids claim to be whatever they choose? If so, how far back does the racial mixing have to have been done?
You'll find that it's defined for American Indians and pretty much no other race on a federal level.
So if we can get the Communist SJW type to choke on their own tails trying to define "race" and have to give up and let it be fluid... then we can have so much fun and games with them on a logic loop lock level.

I have a great friend who now lives outside Boston. His family moved to the U.S. in the 1980's, when he was a teenager (about the time the mess was peaking in SA and Mandella was taking over.
They left, lock, stock and barrel. They had lived in South Africa since the late 1600's, descended from French settlers. They had longer land claims on their area than most of the 'tribals' which were nowhere near the Boer's areas settlement when they arrived. They considered themselves 100 percent African... to the tune of something like 12-14 generations.
But since they weren't black... they're not African by USG definitions! Guess that to qualify, you have to still be urinating in your own drinking water.

I have a couple of friends that migrated (legally) around the same time. Pretty similar story. Both came with just about nothing and both are now successful business owners. The people that forced them out have squandered what they left behind. No clue how to make a living from the land.
I suspect countries that will eventually be controlled by muslims will wind up the same.
