Hey guys, so we ended up raising enough money for 10 tablets through a couple events. These are going to the spinal cord injury ward at the nearby VA, which just rolled out public wifi. I have 10 tablets that are set up and locked out so the only thing you can do is Internet, Weather, Memo, PTSD Coach, Skype, email, and Youtube. Anyone else have any suggestions as to other apps? Keep in mind a lot of these guys can barely move a hand, much less a finger, so keeping it simple is a must. They all have headphones, and a stylus, and a case to go with them. They will receive them on the 4th of july. These are really only for contacting family, and helping with physical therapy.

Most Tablets are voice enabled, most notably the iPad SIRI. Android pads have similar systems/apps for voice control. They may want like minded people to talk with; install TapaTalk linked to this forum. FaceTime to talk to family/loved ones. Ambient white noise generators to help them sleep; many of these guide brain wave patterns during sleep.

These are apps I use a lot that might be helpful.

The only other thing I would think of is netflix but they would need to have their own account for it. I know NBC and Fox have apps that let you watch recent episodes for free. Another app I use sometime is a app to check what's on TV. It could be useful if your in a room with a TV to find something to watch.
