CLASSIC movie. A friend gave it to me to watch. I kept watching it and like you was WTF? I think there's few people I can recommend this movie to and will like it...I DID.

This is one of my most favorite movies.
Gavin in a nut shell, the movie has multiple possible endings.
I like to think of it this way.
There are multiple parralel universes in existence. Donnie basically evades death because Frank the bunny rabbit comes to him. By evading death Donnie then causes a series of events in his universe that ultimately lead to the death of his girlfriend and Donnies sisters boyfriend. Not being able to deal with this Donnie finds a wormhole and travels to a parellel universe in which case he becomes to Donnie in that universe. He then choses to stay in his room and let the Jet engine kill him, which in return saves the life of his girlfriend because they never have an opportunity to meet.
The beauty of this movie is there are so many possible scenarios you could conjure up... but that is the one I like to think of as most likely.
This movie has the best soundtrack to it and generally has an awesome feel.
If 9/11 did not happen when this movie came out, It would have had a much larger fan base.

Awesome soundtrack. Every time I hear Mad World I get a chill. Really a great movie, whether you understand it or not. Great atmosphere.

This movie is on my top ten also. I can't even say how many times I have watched this. I still have the T-shirt that says when the world will end.
