I'm aware there is a time and place where one would appreciate and/or need the simplicity/durability? of having a fixed trigger, I am not addressing those situations.

However, I want to voice a strong statement; Do not be afraid of adjustable triggers. They are neither overwhelming or a hassle. I'm referring to the Geissele Hi Speed which I've recently posted about.

Do not assume that adjustability = high maintenance, complicated or fragile

Adjustability = perfection for you, your rifle, the climate, the situation
* All of those can change... So can your trigger

It can be incredibly light with the slightest pressure barely feeling the 2nd stage break.
It can be light with a firm wall with more confidence from resistance.
It can break hard with additional resistance for glove or cold weather use
It can be switched to service springs for competition where there's specified trigger pull weights.
It's whatever you want it to be, and most of the changes can be done by simply using an Allen key to an open lower. There's no other disassembly or modifications required. It can be done very quickly.

*as a side note, these variants have a faster lock time. As I understand, the hammer falling faster (projectile exiting earlier) causes less detriment to your bullets impact as it relates to how your finger was left on the trigger.

So, if you've been on the fence with one of these and felt intimidated or worried that it may be a hassle to use... Don't
It was also fairly quick and very straight forward to install (including making the initial adjustments)

I have not owned it long enough to attest on any level to its level of durability or longevity. However, I don't foresee that being any issue. Everything I've heard has been positive. They disclose the average service life for trigger and hammer springs in the instructions.

*quick installation tip-
Often you have to remove the safety to get a new trigger in, especially this one which is a little larger in the back. If you loosen your pistol grip only half way, you can loosen the detent spring enough to tun and remove the safety. It saved a step for me, you don't have to completely remove it, just enough to slightly pull on the grip and release tension.

Re: Don't be intimidated by adjustable triggers

Great info Bob and thanks for the pictures and info you have been posting. Looking forward to my flat enhanced trigger coming and getting to use it. I am going to go with this trigger on the next one coming in to see witch style trigger, flat or traditional i like best for any other future builds.

Nice post! Something to think about.

I have a JP Adjustable trigger. Although, It is adjustable until loctited.
It wasn't too hard to install & set. Turned out perfect for me.
