Don't Bother Sharpening Your Knifes

Operative words being "should be". There is no applying logic to this type of populace control situation. Just two years ago there was a big push in Britain to ban "pointy" kitchen knives due to their use as a weapon of choice since all guns have been banned.

Yet cars and politicians are left to roam free upon the land. Where's the logic in that?

The "Utopians" use all the bullshit they can to think they will live in a safer world. Ain't never gonna happen. Ban whatever they want, they aint ever gonna be really safe until they defend themselves. This bullshit of taking away guns in countries then saying there is less violence. WRONG!

But, I digress, we already know that.

Bottom line is something must be done, and if it inconveniences us so be it. Yes I agree as a free citizen you should be 21 or older to buy any firearm rifle or pistol. Zero Felonys (obviously) or Violence related misdemeanors.

I believe that when applying for your concealed weapons permit there should be only one classification of training and it should be the advanced course.

I do think that those with CC permits should have a clue what they are doing, but do you really think that it's appropriate to allow people to serve and die in the military at 18, but restrict their ability to purchase firearms until they are 21? Shouldn't we then also raise the age to vote to 21, since that is an abused power also.

What about driving a car? There were 37,461 automotive fatalities in the U.S. in 2016. I think that the madness must stop and we should ban all vehicles that travel at a a speed faster than 15 miles per hour. These high speed capacity vehicles are evil incarnate and are killing our children.

From 2001-2010, there were an average of 137 fatalities per year due to school bus accidents.

I believe the thoughts you're expressing are dangerous and the Federal gov should restrict your rights to speak about government policy.

Down here in a "disarmed" Australia we still seem to hear daily reports of shootings. Laws are useless when there are people that refuse to abide by them.
Exactly Barney. Yet here in the U.S. the "Utopians" think Australia has no gun violence. They never mention Mexico is also a "gun free" nation...?

Jake,

I watched a debate yesterday between the mother of the geography teacher killed and Dana Loesch. The mother states that we gun owners seem to think we have more right to our guns than her son had to his life. What she fails to do is acknowledge she lives under a constitution that allows him to protect his life.

He didn't So, should those who do choose to protect their lives now have to give up their right because he chose not to use his right?

Some states in Aus already have laws restricting carrying blades in
public places . Fortunately , LE here usually have good common sense ,
and only enforce it if you are missing a few sheep from the top paddock .
Or you have your pants hanging off your ass and don’t know the correct
way round to wear a hat ...

What do they do? Collect them at the end of the week and hand them back out to those who shouldn't carry them? So they can call them cowards?

This is about as stupid as it gets. Entire Armys carry weapons...are they cowards? Let's say you at least need to be an equal in where you go about your daily business in life, but it ain't gonna happen without you being able to defend yourself. That means you have to be equipped to do so. It has never meant you have to go be an instigator.

This is the whole thing that's wrong with the gun/weapons grab. It throws law abiding people in with the crooks.

Dunno SW.
It would seem to be an extension of the failure of "gun control" stopping violent crime.
Now it's pointy knives.
Here's my take:
