    So, earlier while I was waiting for Elon Musk's rocket to take off this morning I swatted a fruit fly and it was still in one piece so I broke out my USB microscope to get a pic of it and saw it was still alive and then switched to vid and you can see it still breathing. Don't worry, I killed it after the vid ended.

     
    Bugs breathe through trachea like air holes in their skin called spiracles. They don’t have lungs and a diaphragm.

    I’m not a bug expert, but I believe what you’re seeing it’s just some nerves twitching.
