Dope card to attach to A-5

Im lookin for a dope card to attach (tape) to the inner right side of the buttstock of my A-5 instead of having to pull it out of my drag bag or range bag. I would like to have it attached instead of it being a seperate piece.

What kind of dope card are you guys using (when taping directly to your stock)? I was thinking of just Microsoft Wording one (dope card) and then just using the wide (shipping style) Scotch tape and slap it on there.


Any pics of your setups?

I'd just do your dea, but laminate it. Personaly I just made one up in 50 yard inrements to 800 made it round and put it in the cover of my scope cap.

I just got a dope chart off of JBM Ballistics and made a chart of my own on word and printed it out then laminated it my self. Then went out and modified some changes on the chart when shooting making small minor adjustments and corrections to the chart as I shot each range to assure my self it was spot on. Honestly I hardly changed anything from the original chart the site made up for me. It was pretty dam accurate. Put in your info and let it calculate it for you and just made the changes needed for your full on spot on chart. It will save you a lot of time and effort than going bullet by bullet making up your own or just going off anyone else's dope charts.


Always remember tho.. Every ones rifle.. bullet and weather conditions and spot location change everything and can change the whole shot. So not one persons chart will work for everyone's rifle / shooting conditions.

I've been building these but have took a little break from them because of other gear I'm working on.You just slide your dope card inside and you can hang it off your scope,wrist or neck I can also add velcro to attach to packs or other gear.If you need one with a two way window for oneside of your card 100-500 and other 600-1000 I can make them also.They can be built in any size and color you want.

Well you know you can make your own dope cards on Microsoft Office Excel and have it laminated. Or you can do what I did and plot your dope as a scatter plot find the trend line that matches both the elevation and windage plots, and use the equations given in the plots to give you the exact drop or drift in between range increments. For example 416 yards or 581 yards. It is basic curve fitting of your data. Do the same with wind and then use your smart phone as your dope card. I have mine set up to do range estimation, elevation adjustments to MOA, and wind adjustments to MOA where I only have to enter the Mil Dot reading from my scope, Target Size, and Wind Speed as variables to get my exact adjustments for what ever the range turns out to be. But be careful because the coefficients of each plot equation are very small and are rounded from the default settings which throws the equation off. Thus you must change the settings in excel to show 5 to 30 significant numbers in the trend line equations.

Hope this helps even if you just set up the cards and print them out.

I use the reload card that comes out of the Sierra Bullet Box. It has a sticky back to it and I stick it to the side of my Stock.

Your dope card don't have to be tacticool it just needs to work.
