I interacted with him twice (once to order and once to get my trimmer reconditioned), and it was a simple process to send him my trimmer and have him recondition it. He did it for free and included new wrenches. Sorry to hear of his passing.
 
Sad to hear. I've used his trimmer for a number of years . Whenever I had a question and gave him a call, he was nice to talk to.
Same here. When I placed my order it was a bit late coming. I called to confirm they got my order and he acknowledged, then apologized because he had been in a wreck (road was iced over and he had a broken leg as I recall). He went out of his way to make sure I understood everything I needed for my multi-cal setup, and got the stuff sent right away. I was impressed with how he handled everything.

Man, hate to hear this. I just ordered my trimmer from him a couple of months ago. I was down near where he lives and thought I'd stop by and just pick it up but he said he's had some crazy people stop by and preferred to ship it. He seemed like such a great guy. Hope his son does continue the business.
