Gunsmithing Douglas barrel question?

OK guys help me with this. What is the difference in Douglass' 4 groove vs. their 6 groove barrels?? What advantage dose one have over the other? If they make such good barrels ( and I believe that they DO) why make two different groove counts?

i was thinking of taking a shwack at this....but i flunked physics class and i'm fairly certain the hole in your douglas....as in your hole is not my goal.

ah....some differences lay in the depth of the grooves,and the height of the lands and how they were put there.......and the kind of bullets they launch.....as in thick jackets....maybe usually hunting bullets ....or target bullets, think thinner jackets....

i will add, that the one douglas i owned looked like a potato field inside via a borescope.....uber trashy....but it stacked the holes....i regret ever selling it as it was a very dependable barrel
