I am intrested in a descent semi-auto longer range rifle (500 to 1000yds) and i came across the dpms 6.5 creedmoor but i have yet to find any preformance rewiews on it. if anyone has any suggestions or any info on the dpms that would be awesome.

Re: DPMS 6.5 Creedmoor

I had a DPMS LR-260, essentially the same thing in performance and identical in all other aspects.

They take a hit in ballistic performance over a similarly configured bolt action.

My rifle was about 3/4 MOA, a buddy of mine still has a really good one that's about 1/2-5/8 MOA consistently.

They're fun to shoot but for the weight and the amount that I actually "needed" the fast followup shot the bolt action does plenty for me.

Figure you're going to get a 1 MOA rifle, if it is better than that consistently then congrats.

I replaced the trigger with a RRA NM 2 stage and the stock with a PRS. Those two changes made shooting it much more enjoyable and consistent.

Re: DPMS 6.5 Creedmoor

The 6.5cm is a great cartridge in this platform. I don't know much about DPMS but the cartridge is great...I'm currently running it in a bolt gun but I do have a GAP10 in a 22" 6.5cm on the way.
