Got one comeing this week, never had my Thunder Beast on a gasser. It does not have a switch block, will I get gassed? Is it worth it to have it threaded?

Thanks.

I have a 308 DPMS SASS that does not have a switch block and I shoot my Thunderbeast on it all the time. The brass is really dirty and the rifle needs to be cleaned more than when it is not shooting suppressed but that is not a big deal. Go for it.

Thread it. I haven't ordered my 30p1 yet but I am getting everything threaded for it. My maten creedmoor build will definitely get suppressed. You can always get an adjustable gas block

finbox,

To avert the cost of barrel removal , threading, reinstallation. You could do what I am doing.

I am backing the barrel out of my LR308 and swapping it out with a Criterion barrel in 6.5 creed.

Then you could sale your current barrel to offset the cost of the new barrel.

For me I also made this decision because I was not only adding threading but also tailoring barrel length all for a limited cost.
