Rifle Scopes DPMS GII SASS Scope

Just got a new DPMS GII SASS anyone have a scope suggestion? 100 to 300 yds. And occasionally out to 600. Oh yea and hunting also. I'd like to stay around $800. Thanks

I would look for a LNIB Bushnell Tactical Elite G2DMR 3.5-21X50. I now have one on my DPMS SASS Gen I and really like to be able to go either short or long range with it. I originally tried a Leupold Mk 6 1-6X24 but wasn't happy with t past 300 yards.

Out to 600 you probably don't need magnification into the 20x range, unless you're trying to spot hits on paper or something? I'd recommend a decent 4x or 5x zoom ratio scope with magnification into the teens. Vortex PST Gen 2, Nightforce SHV or SHV F1, Bushnell LRTS, etc.

I had a 1-6x on a .308 carbine and I too didn't like it much past 300 yards.

Call me old fashioned but I don't like all the whizbang gadgets and reticles on a rifle I hunt with. I started with a 4x16 monarch mildot on my gen 1 sass. Then I wanted more magnification too shoot prairie dogs with so I swapped it out with a vortex viper 6.5x20 mildot. They are rock solid and really inexpensive. Still use 3 of those scopes today. Plus it gives you more money to buy ammo and components for that hungry beast
