I have a question, I have a DPMS chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, it has an on-going issue of "light primer strikes" I have tried running it "wet" with more oil, less oil, thouroughly cleaning it, I have seen it with other DPMS's as well, any thoughts as to a cause or a solution?

Re: DPMS light primer strikes

Have you changed the trigger group out?

And as said before, check the springs, make sure your hammer spring is in correctly and made for the AR-10.

I'm no black gun expert, but I had this problem when I swithched triggers and realized that the AR-10 trigger has a few differences.

-good luck!

Re: DPMS light primer strikes

Thanks, one of the guys we shoot with in AZ is an AR guru, so I put the question to him, I have a Timney drop in trigger that is supposed to be set up for an AR 10 platform, one of my buddies has one like it and he has the same issue, we are shooting with the gentlemen from AZ this weekend, so I am going to run it by him and see if he has an upgraded spring, or knows which particular one I need to order.
