They can claim all they want they aren't supporting it, but their actions speak to the exact opposite. The Pentagon is every single bit as corrupt and run by politically driven socialists as the FBI. SECDEF and CJCS can claim otherwise and act aghast all they want when called to testify and answer up before congressional oversight committees, but this shit is happening in plain sight right under their noses.
