SORRY if I seem to be posting a lot lately. But need advice on something new... again.

So after a few range sessions with the Ruger 223. I wanted to get a Tikka in 223. I had a few guns I wanted to sell so I could get the Tikka (guns were just safe queens)

Its almost our 4th anniversary so the wife is giving me a gift. A go build your dream gift.


So this is the list so far. already ordered, so cant change any of this.
Tikka t3x Varmint 223 (will be threaded for my omega)
Sterk bolt handle
419 20 MOA pic rail
Leupold MK 5 3.6-18x44
Atlas bipod
Factory trigger.... for now. Might get the KRG for xmas

But I can't decide a chassis. KRG bravo, wiskey or the Manners MCS-PRS1TK.

I have the CZ 457 trainer which comes with a manners and I love it but wish it had a adjustable comb.

I have a Tikka t1x in the Krg bravo love it for its price but I like the Manners more in terms of feel.

I have not played with the wiskey 3 and I dont know anyone in northern NV that has one but for the price it offers a lot.

If I wanted to order a custom Manners, then I'm going to be waiting months.... I know they have a few ready to sell now but they dont have the colors/features that I want. My wife hates their paint patterns but I freakin love it. I might do with to my t1x bravo. Moolah baby!

Givin' the current gear that I listed off what chassis could you go with and why?

Stocks and Chassis are mostly personal preference. That being said, I'd go with the Manners. You said you like the feel more than the Bravo so you'd always be wanting the Manners if you bought the Bravo. Yes it may be a bit of a wait but you could always look in their ready to ship stuff like you already mentioned or look in the used market.

Another option for colors is to order it plain and do your own coloring. I have a carbon T5A that I couldn't decide on colors when I ordered it so I sponge painted it myself.

Check out what Altus and Mile High have in stock for Manners. Also, JCS Composite Stocks also seems to be a good option and they promise a 3wk lead time right now.

As far as chassis systems go, aesthetically I don’t like KRG’s options. The performance is great from what I hear. I’d look at MDT’s ACC and ESS instead.

I’ve moved to manners on everything but my 300 Norma, it is in a Cadex chassis. If you go the chassis route take a look at cadex

I’ve shot a lot of different stocks. The only chassis I have used was the XLR Carbon.

Recently I bought a KRG Bravo and really like it. Feels good and has plenty of addons for growing with the rifle. My biggest complaint is the length of pull seems short, even with the spacers.

I went with the Whiskey, very happy I went with it. just got to finish the build.

If you don’t mind the weight, I’d go with a whiskey 3 with an enclosed forend.

I have an X-ray that I love and whatever my next rifle is, it will be in a whiskey 3 to maintain ergonomics
