I just purchase a DTA SRS with .338lm and .308 barrels. It is ever so slightly used, about 50 rounds through 308 and 9 through the 338. The guy who owned it is a custom shop with many good things said about him on this site. He turned the 308 barrel down from the original 3/4" threads to 5/8" for what he said was a more common can fitting. My game plan was to use the DTSS silencer on both with the DTs qd brakes. Is there any adaptor that will help me do this with this issue? Any other thoughts short of selling/trading the barrel or buying 2 cans?

I went through a similar issue with mine, I have a direct thread .308 can, so I had to have the 3/4 threads turned off and rethreaded 5/8. But if you want to use the DTSS, you may ask DTA if you can get either their break threaded 5/8 (unlikely as they dont do custom work in house) or maybe ask them for an unfinished break and have your smith thread it 5/8, then shim it to your barrel.

I would follow Coldbore's suggestion and contact DTA to see if you can get a brake that has not been threaded yet and send it to a smith to be threaded. I wish DTA would make brakes in the 5/8 " threading, as it would also make their suppressor appealing to individuals that do not have a DTA rifle.
The 5/8 " threads are much more popular for .308, but everything from DTA comes with 3/4" threads.
The DTA suppressors are great, but another good one to look at is Thunder Beast. You can get muzzle breaks in many thread pitches from Thunder Beast.
