I just used my OAL gauge to measure the OAL in my SRS. I measured 3.645 to the lands. I reloaded .03 off of that (3.615). For some reason I thought it would be longer than that.

What are you guys measuring?

I don't know what bullet you're running but here are some of my measurements. These are measurements on the lands. Measuring the COL isn't the best way to go about it so you can probably expect at least +/- .003" on that measurement. These were measured with a Hornady OAL Gauge.

300 gr. Scenar - 3.686" COL - 2.969" ogive
245 gr. Lehigh - 3.900" COL - 2.992" ogive
250 gr. GameKing - 3.590" COL - 2.980" ogive
225 gr. Tipped TSX - 3.692" COL - 2.981" ogive

DBohn, that seems accurate to me. The SRS has a fairly long throat, allowing the longer bullets to be seated out a bit.

Thank you. My bad. I am running the Lapua 250g scenar HPBT. Anyone have COL for this in their DTA SRS? I'm not familiar with the 250g game king but assume the dimensions must be different.

In case others are looking for OAL Ogive measurements for the DTA SRS in .338 Lapua

My Ogive measurements are a bit different than what is listed above. This may be due to slight differences in the rifle, or in the methodology.

I also used the Hornady OAL Gauge, and I pressed firmly enough to get the bullets just stuck in the lands. I get measurements closer to what's listed above if I stop with the slightest of resistance.

Lapua 300 Gr. Scenar: 2.9860 (Ogive)
Barnes 265 Gr. LRX: 2.9930 (Ogive)

Methodology: Min measurement out of 5 measurements that stuck
Caliper: Mitutoyo Digimatic
Oal Gauge: Hornady (both Curved and Straight) - 9-33 Bullet Comparator
