What is the rationale for this? The 6.5 semis that I’ve seen in person chuck the brass 30ft with single extractors. Such a high pressure round I can’t wrap my head around it.

I had to cut a few coils off of each ejector spring to keep from denting the brass on the upper receiver. I have adjustable gas and it still throws cases 10'
IMHO, it is a result of "backwards" fixing something.... the suspect BCG is traveling to fast from a oversized gas port, to light of a buffer and a cheap recoil spring.... so to compensate for that increased cyclic speed , they use a dual ejector to quickly fling the fired case out of the way before the to fast moving BCG can clog up from less then enough time ejection.
I have yet to have issues with a "common" 308 / 6.5CM BCG , and an adj. GB ( to help slow the cyclic speed ) , and a heavy buffer weight, and a Tubbs 308 Flatwire recoil spring. Those parts slow the cyclic speed enough for the case to get the heck out of the way with just a single ejector.. ( YMMV )
The only dual ejector Large Frame BCG I have, produced worse group sizes then a single ejector I replaced it with.
NOTE : I do not attribute the lesser accuracy to the ejector... the lack of accuracy is from the one off firing pin style used. ( early attempt at a high pressure FP )

Hmmm, not trying to start something, but I wonder why KAC, LMT, DD, Larue and Seekins to name a few have gone to dual ejectors. All of these run full mass carriers and H2/H3 buffers. Must be a good reason.

I'm not sure why the need for the dual ejectors.... my comments are based on my complete lack of any need for dual ejectors on any of my 8 Large Frame AR's.
It might be some thing simple... and given the lack of a "Mil-Spec" guideline for Large Frame Ar's... I sure don't know.
Also not trying to start something. I would like to know the reason for dual ejectors.
The best explaination I have seen was in one of Franks videos that he did with Glen Seekins on the SP10. Glen addresses why they went with a dual setup.

I haven't watched Frank's video, but did send an SP10 back to Seekins for extreme reliability problems, they replaced my BCG with the newer dual ejectors setup.

Extractors have the claw that, uh, extract the case from the chamber.
Ejectors have the plunger pins that, uh, eject from the ejection port.

Yes, I messed up terminology. Was thinking and meant ejector, not extractor. Thank you for catching that.
Still does not change, my comment or position. And regarding Larue, yes they use a single ejector. However, sizing wise, it is an elongated/oval profile, essentially matching the dual ejector foot print on the 308 KAC bolt and upper I have. This is representative in the 3 large frame Larues I have (308PObr, 260PObr and 260UUK). So, as far as I am concerned has the same function and purpose, just a different execution. Your opinion may differ and that is fine.
