I go and buy something from a friend who's moved down to FL. I've known the guy for years, and have spent a considerable amount of range time in his company.
So, he goes to ship it out from the FFL, pays the shipping and transfer fees, and sends me an SMS image of the receipt from right off of the FFL's counter, showing the date and time that it went through their register, five days ago, on Friday at a little after 9:30 AM. Of course, they tell him that it'll go out that day before close of business.
Wondering what's up, and not wanting to pester the FFL on this end, I phone the FL FFL today.
"Oh, your shotgun went out yesterday."
Right. So I get them to give me the UPS tracking number, right before the end of the call. The destination city is right, thankfully, but the UPS shipping order was processed today, at 11:46 AM.
So, what did it do, or, what did they do with it, for 123 finger-fuddling hours?
