Right now I can only shoot at deer out to 500 yards with a good probability of a clean kill.

I can do the rangefinder -> trajectory adjustment with elevation turret.

I think what is holding me back from good first shots at 600 yards is reading and compensating for wind. I have a Kestrel and make charts, but I not compensating for more than one wind speed between me and the target.

I have a Leupold 4 8x25x50 with side focus, but it is heavy and uses mil dots. I think I can see mirage with it, but I have not tried any long distance shooting with it.

I have an IOR 4 - 14 X 50 with side focus, but it is heavy and uses mil dots.

I want to get a Sightron III 3.5x10x44 with side focus, because it is light and has an MOA reticule.

Is the Sightron scope I want going to be able to see mirage well enough?

TIA
