Dumb question of the day >>30 creedmoor

Years ago I bought out a Sierra dealer who was going out of business. I have a pile of Sierra 190s, 200gr spritzer (strangely very high Bc), and I think 220s. I thought I might do a 30/06 or 300 short mag one day and would eventually use them. I am doing a 6.5creedmoor project so I have the 6.5covered.

I think SAC did some 7 Creedmoors with pretty good success. Either neck up 6.5 Creedmoor or trim and bump 308 shoulders back.

I know it's basically a 308 but would there be benefits of being able to use the heavier 308 bullets and fit in a magazine. I know it would be slow but would there be advantages over a basic 308.

Thoughts???

You went full circle and arrived at the 30TC..... Parent case for the Creedmoor.

I'll look into it. Just wondering if the higher BC bullets would outweigh lack of speed.

Better off staying with the .308 but if you wanted to here is the info. You could buy the 165 SST ammo and Mexican Match them with a 168 ELD and it wouldn't be a bad round.
