Rifle Scopes Dumb question?

I'm setting up my turkey gun, better late than never, and I plan to put an optic on it. I have a mossberg 12 gauge, and an Aimpoint that served a couple tours in Iraq with my friends son. What I am wondering about is whether or not the sight will stand up to the recoil???????

Yeah that's an easy one. No problem I bet! Those things have been shot and worked. No guarantees of course, but I'd bet it will hold up with no problems at all.
