ANyone ever paint their own jigs with a duracoat? Cerakote?

I want a finish that holds up to salt, banging on rocks, teeth. I want to to do two and three-step finish to simulate fish scales and markings. Some real fancy jobbers

I am guessing you are talking about salt water jigs to fish with. In the Gulf it seems everything below the water level eats everything including jigs and finishes. Between Teeth and corrosion good luck. Let me know if something works because I too hate rusty hooks

My best jigs are glow jigs.....from grouper and sea bass to tuna. We paint ours with luminescent paint if anything. I catch as many fish on ones heavily battle scarred with little paint as new ones. I find it's the falling action of the jig far more than the color or realism.
