I am going to finish my AR Upper & Lower Receiver and barrel in Snow Gray.

The Duracoat Snow Gray that I have is over 1 1/2 years old.

Now, a local finisher told me that it's actually the hardener that becomes outdated in 18 months, but the paint is good indefinitely. He said that this is a marketing ploy that Lauer Weaponry uses to get people to reorder every 18 months even if they have 2 ounces left in their paint bottle.

Is this true and accurate? If so, as long as my hardener is clear and fluid should it be ok to use?

Thanks

Re: Duracoat Question For Experienced Users

You're fine Rooster... As long as it's clear and fluid as you mentioned. I have had them sit around here that long and I couldn't tell any difference in durability.

Good luck
