I need some help with an older Eagle Arms EA-15. It is a Coal Valley lower with a serial number 113XX. It's a flat top with an Eotech 552 mounted on it. I cannot find any info on the upper assembly. I am pretty sure it is a custom build. What this boils down to is I no a guy who is parting with some of his ARs and I'm trying to place a value on this one. I know that the pre ban eagle lowers are sought after. Just looking for insight and value of this gun.

If I am not mistaken, in order to prove a receiver as being pre-ban or post-ban, you will need confirmation from the factory that it was indeed, actually shipped from the factory as a completed weapon. "IF" the weapon was shipped from the factory as a completed weapon, then, and ONLY then can the serial number be used to determine actual pre-ban status.

There is no such thing as a "magic" serial number to determine pre-ban status. At least that is my understanding from dealing with the whole pre and post ban issues with the Eagle Arms rifles that I have owned.

You can contact Armalite on your Eagle arms AR(just give them the serial #), The cost was $29.95 to get a certificate of authenticity of when it was built and the configuration. I needed to do this for a preban lower here in CT due to "assault weapons" needing to be registered by the end of the year. If it is a preban they are certainly worth a decent amount of money in ban states!
