This is what works for me in Northeast IL, your mileage may vary... Regular doe urine in early season,via a drag rag.Then once scrapes first appear during the pre-rut you can use it to sprinkle in them, every 3-4 days and after a rain. Thinking a doe is using it regularly,it attracts bucks to the general area of the scrape line by including it in their daily route. Nearer to the rut, switch over to estrus scent. I've used this routine up to Thanksgiving with great success.

Corn, Peanut Butter and Alfalfa. The deer are accustomed to corn and it will draw them in, then they find the PB and when they get used to the Alfalfa, they will check your feeder before others becasue you put out desert as well.
