Does anyone have an Eberlestock X2 pack? I have a dragonfly and like it a lot, but it is a little too bulky for me when doing run-and-gun or when I don't need the extra room for a multi-day trip.

I'm looking for something that will fit a spotting scope, tripod, binocs, blanket, jacket, energy bars, and water...basically big enough for day trip. But still small enough not to be encumber movement.

I don't think I want a built in rifle scabbard, as I will be holding my rifle or carrying it on a sling. A removable one or a side-scabbard would be great but not absolutely necessary.

Anyone have personal experience with X2 pack? Thanks.

Re: Eberlestock X2 pack?

I have this pack and LOVE it!

Perfect for day use. One to 2 days max, due to space.

It also feels good with heavier loads like quarters of meat, etc.

Great pack at a good price ~$149.

PS - I have a GunslingerII and I really like that for hauling my heavy 338 LM along for hunting.

Good luck.

Just picked up an X2 Awesome pack! You can put a full size spotting scope in one wing pocket and a tripod in the other. Great design and feels great with some weight testing.

Re: Eberlestock X2 pack?

I picked up a Mini-Me recently, and while it's pretty small, it can do quite a bit. The fold-out birdbag is ideal if you want to stow a jacket and additional layers during the middle of the day, and it has a long narrow compartment down the middle of the pack that might fit your spotting scope. You'd be stretching the capacity of the pack to fit blanket, jacket, tripod, scope, and food all into it (plus water), but it might well be doable depending on the individual items...and it's certainly small enough to be unnoticeable.
