Eberlestock X3 lo Drag for Tactical Match or no?

My first Long Range match is coming up in March and I am starting to gather my gear. Do most prefer an Eberlestock (ex. X3 lo Drag) pack to carry their rifle, or do most prefer a good pack without a scabbard, and carrying their rifle slung on their shoulder?

Depends on the match - My buddy uses an X3, but we don't put guns in the scabbard during the 'on the clock' portion of the event; That is rifle slung - However, sometimes there are some good long walks out to the start/end points, and the X3 works _very_ nicely for that.

If you are carrying heavy loads, the X3 is not my choice, but for typical tactical match gear (lunch, ammo, rangefinder, kestrel, fleshlight) it does very nicely.
