Rifle Scopes Educate me please GURU's

M1A Socom filled with USGI goodies
Sage EBR Mod 0 stock
Larue Tactical LT-608 scope mount
Larue/Harris Bipod 6-9"


Max range: 0-600 yards

This is basically truck gun/ SHTF while in the truck

contemplating something like this scope here:
Vector Optics Templar Review

Its right at the top of the current budget,

I know the wise old saying of you get what you pay for.

What do you recommend? And Why? Has anyone ever put a 1x-? scope behind an eotech?

Im not set on price or time to purchase yet so who knows maybe a cheap scope for now and a nightforce come my hopefull tax return.

Educate me guys

A friend of mine used to be a dealer and I've used that scope before.

Not a bad scope for the price. Just don't know how it would hold up in the long term? At that price though it's almost in the disposable category.

Check out the SWFA line of scopes. They can be had for $300 and are supposed to be able to withstand the recoil of a 50. Probably the best scopes in your price range. Or maybe a fixed Falcon Menace. Same price range.

I have never heard of falcon scopes. SWFA I have heard of but falcon is a mystery whats the consensus on them?

I have used these scopes before, and yes it wasn't on a real rifle. I have used these on my airsoft rifles and have really put them through a beating while using them. Granted it was not "real world" but they were beat for sure.

I then switched it over to my .22lr and found that the reticule would shift around and never stay in one place. So for a short time scope it should be fine, but anything for a long term I would suggest going with something else.

Right now I have a vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 mounted on it.. But its way to much scope for this rifle

Falcon or SWFA if you can get it. Ive used a Falcon 4-14 FFP on my LAR-8 with 0 issues. The FFP and mil/mil features at that price point is unbeatable IMO. Heard some horror stores with some vector optics stuff.

In $, whats your upper limit?

I got it... Im going to be running a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10. Just played with one earlier today and it is exactly what I am looking for
