Hey guys quick question, I understand the efftect temp will have on balistics. So when I'm working up loads I lolg the weather conditions when I run ne loads over a chrono to get a base line. Most of the time I go to the range pull everything out and shoot. Well it maybe 20 degrees out but my ammo temp hasn't dropped to 20 yet. How important is it to let everything acclimate to ambiant temp.

In my opinion you cant really do much about temp change.

You can invest time into powders that arent temp sensitive, and besides that just understand what temperature changes will do in regards to ballistics.

In regards to letting things climatize, if you go from a warm house to a freezing cold range, then yes you can allow the barrel to come down to ambient temperature. Leaving the rifle in a cold room of the house will help, but how much difference it will make is foreign to me as I do not live in a climate that has radical temperature changes.
