Rifle Scopes Effective range of this reticle?

If I recall ... that reticle is designed for the 240B. If your looking for an ACOG for your 308 I would say look at the TA11E. Remember to consider the cartridge the BDC was calibrated to and don't rely on the info floating around on various forums - you will get mixed results. Just call Trijicon direct and get the proper info.

Im talking about the horseshoe and dot. Would it obscure a target or if it not an issue at longer distance?

Then if your only concern is the size of the center dot, I'd call them back and ask them what the MOA size of it is. On other models, the center dot is 2MOA, but that may or may not be a standard thing for them.
