Rifle Scopes EGW rem 700 LA rail fit Howa 1500 LA??

Hey guys, I had this over on the gunsmithing forum but maybe this might be a better place to ask the question.

I was looking at the Rem 700 egw dual ext picatinny rail for my rifle. Does any one know if it will fit the howa1500 long action. I don't have my rifle to measure the receiver holes right at the moment but the mount holes center to center measure 4.485" from the website.

Can anyone help me out?

Nope, you have to either buy a EGW 1-piece for the Howa 1500 through Legacy Sports, or you can use any 2-piece for the Remington LA. I learned that lesson the hard way with my 22-250.
