Rifle Scopes EGW scope rings?

Anyone using EGW HD Tactical 30mm rings? I just picked up a set from a buddy of mine, and they seem like solid rings. How do they compare with other rings, and any known issues with them?

I run the HD base and rings on my LTR
no issues whatsoever

Have HD rings and base. I lapped rings just to see. I didn't need to lap at all. No slippage w/338 win mag.

I'm not a big fan of the vertical split design but other than that they seem to be built like a tank. Also wish the recoil lugs were somehow permenantly attached. For the price they seem to be quality rings.

I think the vertical split ones are the Practical Model, the Tactical ones are split horizontally. I have two sets of the HD Tactical rings and can't complain at all.
