Thought I'd drop a thread on this issue real quick to see if I'm missing something obvious. I've got a model 10 Stevens bolt I'm trying to remove the ejector out of so I can double check headspace ( I have go /no go gauges and all appropriate action tools if I need to make an adjustment )on a rifle that is giving me issues with case head bulges, however I can't seem to knock out the pin that holds the ejector and ejector spring in the boltface. What gives? I cut an allen wrench down that is the exact size of the punch out hole and really gave it some good solid taps and that stubborn set pin isn't buging even a little bit. I'm kind of puzzled as I thought in the past I simply easily tapped a savage ejector pin out with very little issue. There's nothing else inside the boltface holding the pin in there right?

I got the stubborn sucker out.... just had to really really tap it harder than I expected. This gun checked out good with a .003/.004 headspace. Ive downloaded my rounds alot and i seem to still get a very slight bulge on my brass at the case head :/ im using Win brass. Maybe its time to try lapua?

ive set my dies up to bump the shoulder .001/.002

Can you post pictures of the bulge you're talking about?

Thanks guys. Its a Criterion Barrell in 243.... the slight bulge is only apparant on one half of the case head so a sloppy chamber would make sense. Life's too short to be unhappy about a barrell. It never shot very well either....prolly spin another 243 tube on it soon un 1/8 and hope itnwill shoot 105 bergers as this 1/8 barrel never would.
