Just got word we are receiving the first shipment of the 5.56mm 1.5-6x SpecterDRs that have been sold commercially in the U.S on Monday.

After all of our backorders are filled we're going to have 8 up for grabs.

The 7.62mm are delayed a bit, but we should be having them in a couple weeks. They too will be the FIRST 7.62mm versions sold commercially.

I was also curious about them being offered in a brown model when I saw it in this PDF:
http://www.elcan.com/ELCAN_Business_Area...x.SpecSheet.pdf

I contacted Elcan and was told this:

All of the units we are stocking are black, and to my knowledge they have only produced it that way. There are some tan prototypes around, but they are not full up units as far as I can tell. ELCAN would likely not make the brown available until someone commissioned a run for a few thousand.

Re: Elcan 1.5x/6x SpecterDR arriving Monday!

I was able to do a little shooting with one of the 1-4 DR's A couple months back and I loved it. They did it up right. The Dr is on my short list of things to buy now.
