These photos were taken Wednesday by a Uinta Co. Sheriff when he closed
the road 12 miles out of Evanston while waiting for them to cross!

One of my boys here at the shop just received these this am. His dad lived about 7 or 8 miles from where the photo's were taken.

What a load of elk. Reminds me of the song "Something to Shoot".

The best thing about that herd... There's so many it gives you time to laser range them and then fill your magazine and then get a dirt rug out and get in position before you lose the chance to squeeze off a shot. LoL

Very cool pics. I live about an hour from Evanston. That is some cold windy country in the winter. More than likely they're Utah bulls off of the huge and infamous Deseret Ranch.

I wonder how that fence looked when they were done crossing....
