Hunting & Fishing Elk Tag! Need 300wsm ammo recommendations

Congrats on the tag! I got an AZ elk tag too this year. Unit 6A bull tag. What unit did you get drawn for? I have a 7mm mag, and plan to shoot either 175 eldx or 175 accubonds. I'm sure either in 30 cal would be fine.
Nosler has 180 Accubond and 190 Accubond LR factory ammo for 300 WSM. I would try one of those to see how it shoots out of your rifle.
I agree on the 180 gr accubonds. I've had great success with their factory loads on elk out of my 300 wsm. No animal my wife or I has harvested with them has gone more than 20 yards (shots: 15, 217, and 475 yards). Congrats on the tag!
Check out the new stuff from browning, their BXC is pretty interesting, works well so far out of my rifle. Just have not been able to get out as much as I had hoped to do much else than sight in.
Congrats on the AZ elk tag. I drew this year too. First one since 1999. 7E early rifle bull. I have 3 others I will be helping on to try and fill bull tags too, in 7W, late rifle bull.
I will be loading some custom ammo for my buddy in .300WSM in a couple months. Even though I have not had great success with them as far as accuracy goes in other chamberings and bullet weights, I am going to try the .308 178 ELD-X for it. If I can't get them to shoot like the others I have tried, I have 190 Berger HVLDs ready to load that have worked in other .300WM and .300WSM rifles.

It is hard to go wrong if you stick with any of the top brands. That said, the ONLY way you could go wrong is to choose one because of its name, and not its performance. Buy a box of a couple different kinds, and see which one shoots best in your rifle. Let the rifle tell you which one to shoot, and then buy a bunch more, and practice practice practice.
Congrats on the tag.. What unit? I live here in Phoenix, no Elk for me this year.. I would recommend Hornady SST.. Good accuracy, ballistics, and not terribly expensive
