I was offered a Interarms Mark X, 270 with a Montycarlo stock and a Emediko 4x40 Scope the other day. Claims worth $1000. I know nothing about bolt action rifles or scopes. a friend sent me the think to snipershide and said all of you could help. Any info i can get will be thanked alot.

Guns America has an interarms mark x .270 with 4x40 scope for sale for 450 bucks.
They are Yugo made rifles, nothing wrong with them, decent quality rifle by most accounts.
If you really like the rifle, offer no more than 400.
You could do far better with a Howa or Savage package deal.
