my questions are based on reloading so don't get made at me for it not being a rifel question.I am wanting to load up some rounds useing both 115gn and 147gn Hornady XTP bullets.but after doing a hard search I came up with it may or may not shoot a hollow point.but most have said it will after I put a few 100 rounds down it.

so if any of you guys have an EMP in a 9mm that are loading for it will you help me out.or just any kind of info that may help me out would be nice to know.I will add that its my first auto pistol.so all will help out.

I am giveing thanks now because I may be away with the wife at the beach.trying to thank her.

Re: EMP 9mm

1911's were originally designed to work with ball ammo and the result was that the flat nose on HP ammo would hang up on the feed ramp. That has pretty much been eliminated with manufacturers changing feed ramp angles and finishing/polishing of same. I don't have that Springfield but I would be certain that they have worked that out in a carry gun. Sure, as you've been advised it might make sense to run some ball ammo through it for break in. How's it shoot!!?

Re: EMP 9mm

My buddy broke in his EMP with the same ammo I had loaded for my G17, and M&P 9. It ate it all fine. Ball and Hollow points. The salesman told him to expect some hiccups for the first couple hundred rounds. We didn't have any.
