I'm hunting crop fields and brush lines in Tx panhandle. Rifle is dpms 308, yhm can and d740 night scope. Ammo is the cheapest I can find that will shoot minute of hog...150 gr Rem Corelokt.

Re: Engaging Multiple Targets

My wife asked me if they can be eaten. I've never hunted feral hogs and we don't have them around here (yet) but when I was stationed at Ft Hood someone told me they were good eatin. Is that the case?

Re: Engaging Multiple Targets

I told my wife that I wanted to go hog hunting with dogs and knives. She told me hell no, because if I got hurt we were screwed. My friend recently went and shot a hog. He took it to Kuby's in Dallas and had jalapeno/cheese sausage made with his boar meat. She took one bite of that sausage and was practically booking me a hunt online. So yes, it is edible and to any one in the DFW area, I highly recommend Kuby's if you want sausage. Pricey, but well worth it.
