Decided to go with a set of badgers in orderto get the lowest possible mount on my AR10T.

I can get a 0.030 feeler under neath the eyepiece once the scope is torqued down. Is that enough clearance back here?

You won't have much of a sight picture with the scope that low. I tried it with my AR. Bought a yankey hill rail spacer and never looked back. They are relatively cheap, and hold solid.

I think people new to shooting or LR shooting get too caught up in scopes being low as people. Remember proper rifle fit, cheek weld and Length of pull are more important for consistent mounting of your rifle. Yes you want the scope as low as possible but as low as possible to have a proper fit to your body

I wasn't trying to implie him specifically or trying to offend him or anyone by questioning their knowledge or lack thereof. I was merely stating something for others to read that so often visit all threads to gain more knowledge which we all do. Also to think that ownership of certain objects equates knowledge is not a rule to live by, as we have all seen on this board before. Also, he started this thread and just offered my 2 pennies which is what thread starters are looking for, Are they not?

I don't think the scope is too low in that it'll crash into the weapon during the firing cycle...I do think it's too low in that you'll have an issue in sight picture and also in charging the weapon.
