I'm trying to determine which eotech would be better suited for my application. The optic will be mounted on Colt 6940 and I will need to be able to use the BUIS. I like the EXPS but I'm concerned that it won't colocate between the flip up sights. Any ideas?

The EXPS with the 7mm base does not co-witness with the SP6940 BUIS, the irons are just visable in the very bottom of the Eotech window. However, it does allow the use of most magnifiers while clearing the BUIS folded down.

Re: EOTECH XPS or EXPS

I run an XPS on a 14.5 with a fixed front sight post on a Larue mount and have no issues shooting irons through it. I also run one on a Noveske and have no issues shooting with those irons either. Pretty rugged piece of kit also because I have at least 4K rounds with that sight on my 14.5 and honestly it is closer to 6K and it gets banged around going back and forth to demo's and flying back and forth in the country while going to demo's.

That was my point in expectation. It did'nt. To illustrate my observations. Ignore the barbie grip.
