Suppressors Estate to be settled

I'm wondering if someone can suggest a good resource for valuing firearms. I'm really looking for older handguns in particular.I have an estate I'm trying to settle and I'm having trouble finding a number of the handguns online to use for comparative pricing. Many of them are older Colt pistols. Also have a Browning auto 9mm that I assume is stainless with very intricate engraving, fake (I assume) pearl hand grips and a gold plated trigger. There is also a Colt python with similar engraving, grips and has gold inlayed German shepherds on each side. These two in particular have been very difficult to find examples of. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Also may want to know who done the engraving. Some engraved firearms are worth alot but it depends on the engraving and the engraver.

Also would like to see pic's.

Re: Estate to be settled

A friend and fellow hide member on the east coast has them right now. I'll have to get him to take additional pics of some of them and send them to me. I didn't see the point in sending them all the way out to the Alaskan bush just to reship (most likely) back to the lower 48. I know RW Marek engraved the python. There is also a browning 22auto Gr.III take down engraved by A. Bee. That one has been much easier to find however.

Call Antique and Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY (859.276.1419). They specialize in antique guns and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Well there never was a stainless Browning High-Power. They came in Blue, Satin Chrome, and nickel plated. If it has engraving, and real MOP grips it is a Rennasance. PM me with a serial # and I can help you out with it. Louis XVI were engraved later but did not have MOP grips. Does the engraved HP have black leather pouch with gold zipper, and owners manual? Let me know. krw

When did he/she/they pass? It matters!

If you just want to speak with the best in the business, look no further than Julia's Auction House. <span style="font-weight: bold">But be advised that you have to know what you are doing FIRST</span>. Taxation issues? Equalization between party issues? Sell, hold, trade? Most folks are clueless monkeys...you have to go to Northern Maine to cypher the real values of fine firearms. Knowing where the buyers are three quarters of getting the best price.

Good luck:
