Dealer said paperwork came in, so off I went
To pick up new toy. Once there, the dealer
Informed me that the paperwork would
Have to go back since the examiner forgot to
Slap the stamp on the form....he did sign the bottom though.
Dealer called examiner who said send form back for stamp.

Anyhow, off it went through the mail, and this was at least 2
Weeks ago.

Anyone have this happen? What's the turnaround time on
Such a thing?

Yeah, would of been sound logic. By the time
I got to dealer, it was already to go in envelope
With stamp.

I've heard 2 weeks on missing signatures and such, so
It seems like this mishap would follow the same flow
Of goof ups, yes?

I would give the NFA branch a call and have your serial # and control# available (they only asked for my serial#) they should be able to give you a status

I have been waiting 6 1/2 months for my rem MCS , then got a letter that there was a "discrepancy" with the model name. The dealer received it from distributer as rem 870LM and that's how the paperwork was approved, so his paperwork to me had the same model. The model is actually a rem 870MCS, so the dealer took pics of the Remington tag on the box as well as pics of the gun (per aft request), then had to change the model on the form and resend the paperwork.

so I kept calling that number till I got a live person and they said its all approved and should be processed in another 4 to 6 weeks...... I hope

Mr. Pickles came through for me..... Stamp and can in hand today!
Turnaround was 2 weeks. Which actually isn't bad....
With mailing back time, weekends, and mailing back to dealer,
It couldn't have been no more than 4 days in the examiners assembly
Line.

Seen this sort of shit happen before.

No clue where the examiners are coming up with the "new" info...if it wasn't labeled as such on the Form 3 from the manufacturer, how the hell have they decided it's "actually" a different model?
