I am shooting a Remington 700 varmint 308 and curious to know how tight of a group I could expect to shoot at 200 yards with something like a 150 grain soft nose hunting round vs. a 168 grain bthp?

Match ammo is made more consistenly than a lot of hunting ammo... Sometimes. There's a lot of great shooting hunting loads out there. It's going to boil down to what your rifle likes really.

Nosler ballistic tips shoot just as good as SMK's with my loads in one of my custom 308's.

For medium sized game, use the 168 bthp you are probably already doped with.....aim, let fly and be done with it.
