I wanted to know if anyone has any experienc with KG Gun Kote that is the air cure. I read KGs website and it seems like it should be durable and stand up well to solvents. I have a friend who is experienced with the heat cure KG and how to properly apply it. He has coated some for me with the heat cure and it is awsome and stands up to everything. The other day we tried some of the air cure and tested it. The stuff seems to wipe off with anything from alcohol , windex , TM solution , and break cleaner. What are some of your findings and did you do any thing special in applying it. Also does anyone have any coating that air cure that they would recomend?

Thats what we did , have you tried the air cure and does it wipe off easy with solvents? I waited 2-3 days before testing also. thanks

I havent used it but, it shouldnt wipe off that easy. I asked KG about the air cure several months back and they said it was very durable. Not sure what the cure time is but, 2-3 days doesnt sound long enough.

P3 = P3 or Piss Poor Prep = Piss Poor Paint, give it a try and let us know how it turns out and later how it wears, just so you know the non baking finishes do/will not hold up as good as the bake on ones.

200 degrees 2 hours is safe for plastic grips. I'd think it'd be safe on ABS.

The parts were prepped properly , I just want to see if it should be this easy to come off. I figured the air cure would be less durable than the heat cure but this is as you may say piss poor.
